Life is so good when a meal is cooking in the crockpot…set it and forget it!

Butter Garlic Crockpot Chicken (THM-S)

There’s just something about putting your supper in a crockpot in the morning, and not having to worry about it till suppertime!  This saves me so much time running around my kitchen trying to figure out what’s for supper.  My little family of 5 (we have 3 boys that are ALWAYS hungry)are definitely ready for a hearty meal in the evening!

Between my crockpot and my electric pressure cooker (Instant Pot), my life has been made so much easier.  Crockpots are left alone to cook all day…whereas, Instant Pots save the day when it’s a last minute meal (or an uplanned meal).  I love that I can throw a frozen piece of meat in there and it’s done in 30 minutes.

This recipe was sorta inspired because of my love for garlic and butter rotisserie chicken that you can buy at the grocery store!  I haven’t bought one for a long time, but I did have several spices, garlic powder  and most importantly…butter in my house, so therefore, this recipe came to existence! 🙂

As for the fuel type (if you follow THM), I call this an S fuel simply because the chicken has been soaking in pure butter for several hours…doesn’t that sound fabulous?  Yum!!  Of course your side dish could be broccoli with butter or green beans and a salad.  There are a number of veggies you can eat with an S meal.  You could even add radishes in the crockpot and let them soak up all that buttery goodness.

Butter Garlic Crockpot Chicken {THM-S}

This crockpot chicken recipe couldn't be easier! It holds a variety of delicious spices.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of uncooked boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1-1/2 to 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dry thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in crockpot ( I just ordered this one and love it! )
  2. Sprinkle seasonings over the chicken.
  3. Melt butter and pour evenly over all the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1-1/2 - 2 hours.

Notes

You may add more or less spices depending on your tastebuds!
